June 2019

You still have the opportunity to attend the conference, when the registration deadline has been moved to June 25. However, there are not room for many more since 510 have signed up for the conference and max participant number is 550.

You can view all presentations and presenters on the website and start composing your own program and be ready for conference start.

On the site you can search for a specific speaker, and you can sort presentations by language, themes, type of presentation, day etc., so that you can easily find what has your particular interest. For example:

May 2019

It’s going to be a memorable conference!

With less than 100 days to go we are working flat-out to finalise the whole programme so that participants can begin to plan their own personal conference diary. There is plenty to choose from! There will be 253 presentations:

  • 176 oral presentations
  • 13 symposiums with 36 inputs
  • 6 round table discussions
  • 15 workshops
  • 20 poster presentations

And, of course, our three keynote speakers: Carsten Elbro (Denmark), Jean-Francois (France) and Kate Nation (United Kingdom).

Although the speakers come from all parts of the globe, most will give their presentation in English (in all, 213). Furthermore, there will be 26 presentations n Danish, 2 in Norwegian, 2 in Swedish, 1 in German, one in Spanish and 8 in French.

You can find the abstracts for all the presentations on our homepage, CPH2019.dk, -> Programme  -> Presenters.

When you register, you can also order luncheon vouchers for each day, and tickets for our free Social Event on Sunday evening, for the boat trip round Copenhagen harbour on Monday evening and for the presentations about the Danish primary school system and the Danish High School movement on Wednesday.

March 2019

There has been an outstanding interest in participating as a speaker at the conference. Therefore, we expect that there will be no fewer than 254 different presentations to choose between. Most of these (197) will be 30-minute oral presentations. There will also be 15 workshops, 12 symposiums with several inputs, 12 round table discussions and last, but not least, 21 poster presentations! All six conference themes will be well-covered, so there will be a variety of choices for everyone. Speakers come from 43 different countries, so participants have a fantastic opportunity to hear about, and discuss, both research and practice from many different aspects of the world of literacy. Now we hope that many teachers, researchers and others interested in literacy will register and come to Copenhagen to make the conference a rewarding meeting for all of us who feel that literacy is important, now and in the future. The list of speakers and their presentations will be updated regularly. See program>speakers. We expect the conference programme to be on the homepage on the 1st of May 2019. Note that the registration deadline for speakers/presenters is the 1stApril, and the deadline for ordinary participants is the 15thof June. We look forward to seeing you in August.
